What's up with the price?I just want to know, is children or adults that drive up these prices. I just spent fifty bucks on a toy for my child.
The Iron Man's aide.I bought this figure, Originally, because i need the Galactus right leg. Here, in my country, this figure only arrived "preordered" and it was very expensive, if you can catch it.
The figure is very simple and it has a rocket launcher and a machine gun in each shoulder.
I think this figure was better than it really is.
War Machine the good, the bad, and the awsomeWar Machine is awsome, because he's like a black and silver ironman. Except that he actually has guns. Here's the pros and cons of this toy.
CONS
1. It looks like his waist is going to snap off. It's way to loose.
2. The machine gun is actually attached to the figure and you can't take it off.
3. NO STAND, only a freakin leg
4. The fireing weapons don't fit in easily
PROS
1. He's war machine!
2. He's black and silver instead of red and yellow
3. He has cool weapons
4. His helmet actually stays on his head. The ironman's didn't
PRO AND CON
5. Very stiff figure. (Besides the waist)
WAR MACHINE!!From the Galactus Series, (or Series 9), is War Machine. He is an Avenger and close, personal friend of Iron Man-if you couldn't have guessed that already. He has the same body sculpt as the Iron Man from Series 1--which has everyone either loving it or hating it. In my opinion, I love it. I love continuity. That way it's a little more believable that it's the same guy under the costume if the body looks the same. Tony Stark (Iron Man) wore this costume first. Then, his friend, James Rhodes wore it and continues to wear it. He is nicely articulated, well painted, and the joints were all tight and well concealed. Durability is good for kids, but the mask could have fit a little better. You can always super-glue it in place because you really don't need to see James Rhodes' face-unless, of course, you want to. Also, the rocket launcher and gatling gun that are mounted on the shoulders restrict the movement of the figure's head. At times, they can even pop the mask off of his face. They should have been put them a little further away from his head. He comes packed with flame accessories that can be placed into the holes of his hands, feet, and weapons to simulate the firing of his hand repulsors, bootjets, rocket launchers, and gatling gun. A very nice touch! He comes with an Iron Man comic book that has War Machine's first appearance. Unfortunately, it's only on the very last page. They could have picked a better one, I think. There is also a clear, plastic, wall mountable display stand that makes the figure appear to be in flight. As I mentioned, he is part of the Galactus Series. Which means you get a piece of Galactus' huge 16 inch body. When you get all 7 figures in this series, the pieces can be joined together to make the 8th figure in the series--Galactus, Devourer of Worlds and arch nemesis of the Fantastic Four. A shrewd marketing technique by ToyBiz. Everyone will surely buy all the figures in order to get Galactus. He truly does look amazing when he is assembled. I fully recommend this figure. The good points far outweigh the bad. He is well stocked and I would certainly buy another if something were to happen to the first one.
