Nice Thor
There are many Thor action figures in this marvel legends line, this one being the least expensive. Fortunately, it holds up tp the others quite well nonetheless. One area that was sacrificed was the articulation, this is one of the least posable figures of the whole marvel legends line, which may not be such a bad thing considering many of them are so articulated that they are either very flimsy and impossible to stand. No problems here with that though, as his lack of movable toes, and balanced build, make this guy probably the best marvel legend figure at standing on it's own. No articulated fingers either could be viewed as good or bad, in this case good, because he actually can hold his weapons quite well. You won't be moving the head either, as the hair and cape make that completely impossible. Over all though, this figure is greatly detailed, very durable, and comes with the Blob's head in the "build a figure" line.

To all you collecters out there if you ever thought about purchasing this action figure or any other, you've come to the right place. When I looked for this action figure on other websites it was too much too pay for. When I came here on Amazon it was a great price and the packaging was in mint condition.I hope this message can help you all out there.
Superb Figure
This is an excellent sculpt of Thor in one of his armored periods, the joints are good, with none of them being loose out of the package. The figure makes an excellent addition to my Marel collection.

There can be only one!
Thor of Asgard from the Marvel Legends series 3 release in the Classic Thor outfit. He's a big figure and very, very top-heavy so posing him is a bit difficult and the legs may eventually loosen up. Barrel chested, his arms won't cross his chest. His hands are articulated so he can make a fist or grasp the Mjolnir. Of course this also means that he can let it go. The head won't turn as much either because of his hair - he's not called Goldilocks for nothing. However, he'e an icon. A very well built icon. All the Thors that followed him pale in comparison to theis Thor's sculpt, and overbearing presence - especially that whimpy Thor from the Giant Man series. He's the centerpiece of any Avengers collection, standing right behind Captain America. A must buy, must collect.

Marvel Select Thor.
i have to agree 100% with Elliot: this is far & away the best Thor action figure i have ever seen. a lot of this has to do with that fact that the look is based upon the Olivier Coipel design, which i will admit i love, but it's really more about out-and-out quality, and this fellow's got that in spades. quite a looker if left free of action upon your favorite bookshelf (like mine), but also tough (and just plain cool) enough to hold his own in a Legends vs. Selects brawl (like my buddy's, as his kids LOVE to play this game about twice an hour). : ) while the Select sculpt size is a wee bit bigger than the Legends scale, with Thor (much like the Hulk), dude, the difference actually makes the figure all the better. (i placed him alongside my Legends Avengers figures and the look is killer, man!) in conclusion, this figure recently bumped Legends Colossus from my overall no. 1 spot, man, and that alone says it all, man...
Great Figurine, Not a Great Toy
As said with Marvel Select: Wolverine Action Figures: This is a GREAT toy....for an adult or teenager. My husband has, and always will be, a lover of Marvel Comics and it's heros AND villians. This are GREAT for being enjoyed by an adult. It comes with a gorgeous stand and the cape is removeable. The detail is fabulous. The toy, however, is top heavy and has a hard time standing on the stand without falling over. I would not suggest purchasing this item for someone/a child that actively likes to play with his action figurines. The joints are difficult to move. The outfit is not structured to be put on the figurine. It comes with tiny pieces of plastic weapons. They are only designed to move in very specific ways. This model (toy) is specifically a "Marvel Select" toy. Marvel has many different types of action figures. WITHOUT a DOUBT, they have AWESOME actions figures and toys! A great version of the God of Thunder!
I have to agree that this is an excellent incarnation of Thor! I have a massive collection of Marvel Legends scale figures and this Thor sits among them. The added height of the Marvel Select works very, very well, and he is about the same height, maybe just a tiny bit taller, than the BAF Ares. I also happen to prefer his new duds to the original, more traditional, Thor costume. Highly recommend to any fan of Marvel Legends, Marvel Select, Thor or Avengers. Oh yea, it makes a great solid toy for kids too :-)

I personally, would choose the Halo set, because I am a Halo fan and it's $30 cheaper than the avengers!
