THE HIGH FLYIN' ANGEL...
From the Sentinel Series, (or Series 10), is the Angel action figure. He's excellent!! He's very well articulated and all of the joints were tight and nicely concealed on this figure. The paint job is good, but there are parts of the figure that the color doesn't appear to be red. It's more of a reddish-brown to me. Also, they went a little heavy with the airbrush when they applied blue paint to the shadowed areas of his body. Regardless of that, the figure comes with 2 wings that you stick to his back. These wings are movable and make the figure look outstanding! ToyBiz made the joints that hold these wings nice and stiff so their weight would be well supported. Even the joint that connects the upper and lower torso together is tight enough to keep Angel from slouching under the weight of the wings. The figure comes with a copy of a classic X-Men #5 comic book. It doesn't show him in the costume that he has on for the action figure, but it's fun for the kids to read...
great collectable
I was please when i brought this figure and it did come with the wings and part to build the sential and i was hoping toybiz would have given the part to make the angel of death where he skin was blue and he had the metal wings this is a toy that any die-hard X-men fan would enjoy
Good Angel figure with great wings
I was happy to see an Angel figure, rather than an Archangel. I mean, I hope they do the Archangel, as well, but this is my first Angel with the feather wings figure. The wings are AMAZING. Simply amazing, and huge. Couldn't be happier with them; they just simply look wonderful. Now, I think the figure itself, wings not counting, looks good. It has an incredible amount of articulation, and it is a good representation of the Angel character. But the joints are ugly. Almost every part (toes, fingers, etc) is jointed, and most joints are then also ball jointed for maximum movement. This is great for display... but, the ball joints in the shoulders and legs are so large they detract from the all over look. The incredible articulation, to me, takes a lot away from the overall display of the figure and I could have done without the ball joints entirely. I have a hard time posing Angel appealingly with the big round joints. The display stand included is awesome,...

ANOTHER GREAT VERSION OF CYCLOPS...
From the Sentinel Series, (or Series 10), is the Cyclops action figure. He is a pretty nice figure. It's the same body sculpt as the Spiderman Classics Kraven the Hunter and Nick Fury from Marvel Legends 5, so the articulation is good. The joints were tight and nicely concealed on this figure. The paint job is very good, but I think they went a little too far on the yellow areas of his costume. They put so much dark paint on the recessed, shadowy areas that his gloves, trunks, and boots look just plain dirty. As if he just got done changing the oil on the Blackbird or something. I was real excited to see this figure, but was disappointed to find out that the picture ON the package has the figure looking better than what you actually get IN the package. More specifically, his legs from the shin on down to his feet. They are just too short and stubby looking. The top folds of his boot almost reach down to the top of his foot. His feet seem really big, too. He comes with a...
Single Vision
Good 'ol Cyclops. Sturdy, dependable and tough but not too exciting. That sums up his character and sums up the action figure too. The figure is very sturdy and they've given him a stout body. He is very well articulated with which I am pleased. All the standard Marvel Legends joints can be found and they are sturdy and some are hidden well, such as cut ankels and and wrists. The standard version is a basic blue and yellow. Accurate but, lets face it not a real fun costume design. Not really the figure's fault but there it is. He does suffer from a bit of black wash making him look grimy but if you wore birght yellow boots and gloves into battle they probably would get dirty. He does come with a piece of the giant mutant hunting 16" Sentinel. Since Cyke is probably the most basic figure in this series he does make a good one for the Sentinel to grapple in its tentacles while he holds a hand to his visor to blast the purple menace. So,...
Dependable if not Terribly Exciting
Cyclops is the X-Men's Leader, so it is nice to finally have a Legends Version of him. Past X-Men in the Legends line include Colossus, Beast, Gambit, Rogue, Cable, Pheonix, Several Wolverines, Ice Man, Storm, Nightcrawler, Professor X, and Angel. So now they finally get a combat leader. Professor X is obviously their overall leader. The figure is a little boring, but that's due to costume design, although, God knows why, Cyclops did wear this yellow and blue ensemble for years and years in the comic books. The variant figure, which is the one I bought, has his X-Factor, blue and white ensemble, which I much prefer. But seeing as your X-Men, and your Sentinel won't be complete without Cyclops, he is still well worth adding to the collection.

GET THIS FIGURE ONLY IF YOU HAVE TO...
Well, they did it to me again. They took the one character in the whole series that I was really anticipating the most and then didn't do her any justice. This is another one of those "the picture on the package looks better than the product" situations. Mystique is one of my favorite characters and I was excited to find out that they were going to put her in the Marvel Legends line. After ToyBiz had done such an excellent job on Phoenix, the Black Widow, and the Invisible Woman, I thought Mystique would be just as good. I was wrong. She's good from about the neck on up. And, even that is a stretch. They have used a different body sculpt from previously mentioned characters (which were great) and have come up with a figure that is shorter and much less articulated than the other female figures. Mystique sports 27 points of articulation as opposed to the 40 points on the Invisible Woman and Black Widow. As this line of figures progresses, I would think ToyBiz would maintain...
The ONLY! GOOD Mystique EVER!
There have only been a handfull of Mystique Figures released, to my recolection 3. One in the mid-90's, the X-Men movie version, and now the ML version. This is by far the best figure. While the articulation is lacking (compared to some other ML figures), and I would have liked to see a variant using an outfit like the black leather one on the Poster-Book cover, she is still great. The movie version had one pose that looked halfway decent, and that was the "model-on-a-catwalk" pose. However, it makes sense since Rebecca Rojmain Stamos described her character as "a poser, she stands there and then turns into someone else." So the pose is appropraite for the figure. This version is much more poseable, though I think the issue people are having with the legs is that she was sculpted into a slight contrapasto pose. She is still a beautiful figure, and essential if you are trying to assemble The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. If your not a real fan of Mystique, or a...
Mystique is Mystique.
This a series of seven that build a sentinel. This alone is worth having. She is very cool looking and very posable. A little bit smaller in person but still a very good figure. Also the skull belt is nice added touch.

A Rather Lackluster Spider-Man
This Spider-Man is based off his first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15. The sculpt captures the look of Spider-Man, but overall the figure leaves a bit to be desired. First of all, it is made with very soft plastic, so the legs have a tendancy to warp into strange shapes. Also, due to the soft plastic, you ahve to be very careful moving the joints. It seems very easy to break if you force it too much. There is also quite a bit of paint bleeding from the black lines in his outfit. However, most collectors will want this figure regardless of any flaws, as it contains the torso and head of the Sentinal. If you collect each figure in the wave you can assemble a giant figure. Still, the figure itself does leave much to be desired.
NOT JUST ANOTHER SPIDERMAN FIGURE...
First Appearance Spiderman. I was very skeptical about buying this figure, but since my sons needed the piece of the Sentinel that was inside to complete their Sentinel figure, we got it anyway. To my surprise, this wasn't just another Spiderman figure. This figure is really very nice. The articulation is great. The fingers can all move separately, except the thumbs--they don't move. All of the joints were tight and nicely concealed on this figure. The paint job isn't in the colors that I would like (red and black), but was done nicely. I love how Spidey's eyes aren't so big and round, but are like narrow slits. The underarm webbing is cool, but can either be taken off (which is what we did) or left on. I was expecting some redone Spiderman sculpt with a different paint job for this figure, but he seems to be one of a kind. He's in perfect scale with other characters from this toy line. The figure also comes with a copy of Amazing Fantasy #15-the comic book in which Spidey...
Spidey in All his Glory!
Like many people when I saw that Spider-man was getting the Legends treatment, I inwardly groaned. With the Spiderman Classics line doing so well, and the articulation greatly increasing, I thought we'd be getting something like we already had several of. I was very pleasantly supprised to find a wonderful figure. Not only is the Head piece crucial to build the Sentinel, but the figure is great. The clear display base is perfect and he can almost perfectly mimic his now famous Amazing Fantasy #15 Cover pose. Like I said the articulation is great and the Sentinel piece alone is worth money.

"CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS"           HHH1/2                     Not rated. Century Regency. Werner Herzog's spellbinding 3-D documentary about the Chauvet Cave in France, where 32,000 years ago, above the Ardeche River, humans created the oldest cave paintings known to exist. His narration evokes mystery and wonder as we regard these masterful early signs of man's artistry. Filmed in 3D, not as a gimmick but to better show how the paintings follow the contours of the rock walls. From Roger Ebert. 90 minutes.

"JUMPING THE BROOM"           HHH                     (PG-13) Century Northgate, Century Rowland Plaza. A comedy involving a marriage between two old African-American families, one working-class from Brooklyn, one very, very rich and living on a priceless slice of Martha's Vineyard. Sabrina and Jason (Paula Patton and Laz Alonso) are an attractive couple, but the fireworks are between their mothers, Angela Bassett and Loretta Devine. Yes, they're too broadly drawn, but that goes with the territory in what is basically a glossy upscale sitcom. From Roger Ebert. 107 minutes.

It's especially disappointing when considering its potential given the RPG elements, superpowered action and cameos by top-tier X-Men — a combination that was used to great effect in the X-Men Legends and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance titles.
