Saving GraceAngel is by far my favorite of the Sentinel series figures.
His sculpt is suberb, and he is fully articulated, and posable.
This is really an X-Men themed Series, with 2 X-Men, and 3 Villians comprising 5 out of 7 figures, not to mention the Giant BAF Sentinel. With so many X-Men already released as Legends, and with more X-Men, ALlies, and Villians coming in future series, how can you not want to add the Angel to your collection.
There are 2 versions of this figure, the main version features a red and white costume (pictured above), and the variant features the same costume but with a blue and white scheme instead.
Like I said the figure is phenominal, although the rather large impressive wings make the figure top heavy and unable to stand on his own. But I fell that the wings are the best part of the figure. And he comes with a display stand, so all manner of flying poses are possible. Besides, if you had wings would you waste your time just standing around.
Now here's hoping they'll release an Archangel With as much attention to detail.
Wrong ColorThere was nothing wrong with the toy except it was the wrong color. I ordered the Marvel Legend Sentinel Series- Angel Blue, not Red. You sent me another Angel, but it was also red. I sent both of them back in the same box and I'm still waiting for my Blue Angel.
Angel Does Fly!This is one of series of seven to build the Sentinal. Which I suggest you collect them all to have the complete set. Any ways this is a great toy. This is not one of my favorite characters but after buying it I was very suprised how cool and detailed this one was. Not to mention all the moveable parts just add to the figure. I 'm glad I added him to my collection.
Angel. Its All In the Wings Baby!Angel is one of those X-Men who are secretly popular. You don't hear a lot of people talking about him like, oh I don't know, Wolverine, but you make a figure and everyone wants one. The fact that you get a piece of the giant 16" Sentinel does not hurt either.
The figure itself is well articulated and can be posed easily for cool flying with the stand that is included. I set mine up on a raised surface behind the rest (hey, these are for me not my kids!) for a soaring over everyone look that works well. As stated the figure works well but really just looks like a average Joe in an Angel get up. But then you snap on those wings.
The wings make the figure. 6" wing span and great paint and detail make hime look so cool. One word of warning. The wings are very heavey and my stand, the peg that holds Angel, constantly bends back. I had to wire his foot to the stand to stop this. Other than that he is way cool.
Good Angel figure with great wingsI was happy to see an Angel figure, rather than an Archangel. I mean, I hope they do the Archangel, as well, but this is my first Angel with the feather wings figure.
The wings are AMAZING. Simply amazing, and huge. Couldn't be happier with them; they just simply look wonderful.
Now, I think the figure itself, wings not counting, looks good. It has an incredible amount of articulation, and it is a good representation of the Angel character. But the joints are ugly. Almost every part (toes, fingers, etc) is jointed, and most joints are then also ball jointed for maximum movement. This is great for display... but, the ball joints in the shoulders and legs are so large they detract from the all over look. The incredible articulation, to me, takes a lot away from the overall display of the figure and I could have done without the ball joints entirely. I have a hard time posing Angel appealingly with the big round joints.
The display stand included is awesome, though, as this is definately a figure you want to display 'in flight.' (And it wouldn't have a prayer of standing on its own...)
The Sentinal leg included is HUGE and awesomely detailed. I really really wish I could get my hands on all the pieces, but I have neither the money nor the space to buy figure I don't want just to get all the pieces. Oh well.
