Thor ain't got nothing on me!
He's big, he's in black, and he doesn't talk. It's the Destroyer! If you see the semi-sentient armor constructed to combat Ragnarok, step out of the way. It's definitely nicer than the THor-buster Iron Man armor from which it was based, and considering the fact that it's an icon for Thor fanatics, its a must have for your collection - so it's worth the higher price. The only problem I have with this figure is that the hands are not articulated. It can't form a fist - but then the Destroyer was just meant to stand in a corner like any suit of armor and look scary. Must buy!

Exactly what I hoped for
This figure is a great representation of the movie version of The Destroyer, and also fairly comic book accurate as well. It's about 8" tall, so it fits in great (I think) with the Marvel Select Thor movie figures and and Marvel Legends Thor figures as well. The paint and detailing is wonderful as well. A lot of people get frustrated at the lack of articulation on this figure, but not me. Let's be clear, this is part of Hasbro's 8" movie themed figures that they started doing (I believe) with either Iron Man 1 or the Incredible Hulk movie a few years ago. The line has had limited articulation (cuts at the neck, shoulders and hips for a total of 5 p.o.a.) from the start, and to expect anything more is an unfair expectation. For what this line is, this is a great figure, and a great option for adding a bulking 8" Destroyer to your collection!
Get Destroyed!
I read the original Thor issues when the Destroyer appeared back in the 60s and have always deemed him the best Thor villain. I was pleasantly stunned to see him turn up in the Thor movie! While I did not especially care for the slight revision in his look, it was only slight, so I didn't much mind. And I was delighted to see such a wonderful Destroyer figure! Not much articulation, but little is needed. Do you need to have the Destroyer do the Watusi? Looks great just standing there looming menacingly! I love him! You will, too!
Destroy! DESTROY!!!
This is a solid toy offering from Marvel and the only action figure from the Thor movie that I purchased for the boys (yes, thats it...I purchased it for the boys). It is thick and heavy and feels good in the hand. It doesn't have that many points of articulation but it is a wonderful sculpt. So if you enjyed the Destroyer in the film or just enjoy the historical (comic book) Destroyer then this is the toy for you (or your kids). Somewhere in the house my oldest son is playing with this right now.Verily!PS. I could not find this toy in any local retailers so this and e-bay are your only options.

(Based on the comic book company’s eponymous comic-book) continues to top the box office with a total gross of $65,723,338 this Spring it is clear that the film itself is just a small portion of the Thor-mania that is part and parcel of the company’s product rollout. Supporting the film is the requisite amounts of tie-ins to the film that help not only spread awareness of the brand, but provide cool “extras” to fans. To be sure, there are all the regular toys, T-shirts, and the like, but with comicbook movies, you often get more. Naturally enough, Marvel Comics publishes (several) Thor comics chronicling his various adventures.

As with many other films of this type ( Iron Man 2 (who is slated to star in his own film in June).
