My first Marvel Legend. Brown Wolive.
This Wolverine is in his classic brown costume unlike the other blue and yellow ones that have been released. I don't own the other wolverine's but I heard that this one was more to scale which is great. Expect the usual amount of articulation that comes with Marvel Legend toys of this size. The stand holds a removable sword that fits in Wolverine's left hand. My only gripe is that i know the joints will get loose, one shoulder hinge i think is the same as the other..werid, and that his left shin swivel area is looser than it should be. (...)
Finally a Wolverine worth raving about
This by far is the best created wolverine of the Marvel legends ToyBiz collection. In that case any toyline production of wolverine. He is a more accurate scale in comparison to other marvel legend figures. The only thing I think they should have done was make him a little more bulkier adding more mass to his arms. The facial details are also very accurate. Thanks toy biz for bringing out the best wolverine 3D version action figure I have ever encountered.
Finally an awesome Wolverine!
When I heard the lineup for marvel legends 6, I thought "Oh no! Not another Wolverine!" Then I heard it would be his classic brown costume. It seemed interesting, but I assumed it would be a repaint of the marvel legends 3 wolverine. Fortunately, I was proven wrong. This is an all new sculpt! There are 36 points of articulation(I think)! What the previous Wolverine lacked, this one makes up for. Now Toybiz is paying more attention to scale, so Wolverine is hunched over just like he should be. He has an appropriate snarl on his face. If you look closely, you can even see the tiny bits of stubble on his face! He has a base, which is basically a repaint of the Elektra base, only this time there is a small Ogun figure sitting on it. He has a sword in his hands. This sword can be removed and it loosely fits into Wolverine's left hand. Wolverine also comes with an Uncanny X-Men comic book. # 213, I beleive. PHOENIX ROCKS!!
This figure is BEAUTIFUL! However, chances are slim to none that you'll be able to find her very easily. No thanks to ToyBiz, this figure is packed one per case and usually never makes it to the shelf because of the people who work at Toys-R-Us and WalMart gobble them up first. Regular consumers are, again, given the shaft. If you are lucky enough to score one of these figures, congratulate yourself for buying one of the best figures in this series. Phoenix's face actually looks like it belongs to a female. The past heroines done in the Marvel legends style (Rogue, Elektra, and the Black Cat) all look like men with long hair. Very homely. Another nice update was the different hip joints they have given to Phoenix. The weird joints that were always loose and would never keep the figure up on their feet are gone. Every time I would try to stand them up, their legs would slide out away from the body. Grrrrrr! Those days are gone. Phoenix has ball-in-socket type joints and...
Great addition to the X-Men team.
As stated before this figure was short packed, meaning every case had either one Phoenix or one Deadpool, the two hardest (and most expensive) of the entire series. Let's start with overall appearance. Her paint is fantastic. It looks exactly like her classic costume. Her hair is fiery red, suitable for a women named the Phoenix, although the hair is heavy and can cause her to tip over when being displayed. Toy Biz did all of its collectors a favor when they decided to do away with the funky looking hip joint that plagued an otherwise good woman sculpt (Black Cat, Rogue, and Elektra, just to name a few). The only "accessory" Phoenix gets is a fiery phoenix base. There is a clip in there that squeezes her torso so she can be posed in front of it. The base is also wall mountable. She also comes with a reprinted comic and the typical data card. Pick one up while you can, her value is rising.
Marvel Legends Wave 6: Jean Grey as the fiery Phoenix
Figures of Jean Grey in her vintage green & yellow (or gold) Phoenix uniform are quite hard to find because there haven't been that many ever produced. Not surprisingly, the Marvel Legends version is no exception. This fantastic depiction of original X-Man Jean Grey as her cosmic alter ego, the Phoenix, was one of the hardest searches I have ever had in tracking down a new figure for my collection. However, the effort and wait are worth it, I assure you. Marvel Legends, as with these early waves, was often hit or miss with female figures. For instance, sometimes the promo pictures of a female character's figure look absolutely terrific (i.e. Psylocke) and then the figure is a pale, if not poor, imitation of the photo (same figure). That is not the case with this Jean Grey figure. It is well-sculpted, particularly with Jean's face as the stellar effort made by the manufacturers is plain to see. This thing is soooooooo cool, the paint apps and likeness are amazing! The only thing was that this thing was a bit expensive, but is was definitely worth it! P.S. This thing is very very sharp nd will cut you, it is probably best for older kids.
Such Great Detailing That Literally Hurts
I absolutley love this figure. This has great detailing and a great base. But it is low on articulation but i didn't expect thtat because well... its a marvel select figure. But the detailing of the spikes are amazong and they hurt. When i was geting this guy out of the package the spikes drew blood about 3 times. THIS IS NOT A CHILDREN'S TOY!!!

This toy is sharp. The plastic spikes of him are just that spikes they hurt. I your getting this for a child under 12 make sure there careful with it they can get hurt. Still its really cool and pretty fun 4 outta 5.

Let me start by saying that I normally don’t take vim figures surface to take pictures of them.  I do preference seeing open-air shots, but it’s by the skin of one's teeth a lot of strife to get them set up, and I would rue the day that one of my neighbors catches me doing so.  But for this custom Marvel Legends Zabu, I was compelled.

You may keep in mind GrownNerd’s access in CustomCon 22 , Uncultivated Arrive Pan-Off Zabu & Ultra-raptor .  If you haven’t seen that, you’ve got to hesitation it out.  What you may not comprehend is that the Zabu in that CustomCon access is the *help* Zabu he made.  When he posted the formula for Zabu on his customs train of thought at TheFwoosh.com, he revealed that he wasn’t glad with the first.  I suggested that I take the first one off his hands because it was such a part of crap, and right thereafter, I had this dream in my hands.  Never discount the power of satire coupled with plan!
