A Must Have...
This is Certainly a "Gotta Have It" Figure from the Early Days of Marvel Legends. An Amazing Sculpt on the Most Iconic of All of Cap's Costumes, with a Great Base that Put Him Right into the Action of a Possible WWII Battle. Hangs on the Wall or Placed On a Shelf, I've Used it for Many Figures Over the Years, but Captain America is the Only One Who "Flies the Flag". Not an Overly Patriotic Person Myself, but I had a Captain America Figure Growing Up. He was a Bit Taller than a GI Joe (from the Secret Wars Series, I would Later Find Out), So He would Naturally Boss the Joes around and Be a "Super-Soldier". Purchasing this Figure was Based on that Nostalgia, and I'm So Glad I Did. Posing Him can Be a Little Tricky without the Base, but with it You Can Create some Dynamic Scenes. He Can Even Wear His Shield Over His Back like He does in Many of the Comics. That's Probably My Favorite Feature of this Amazing Figure.

Toy-Biz vs Hasbro Action Figures
Captain America and I go back a ways. I first saw him in the immortal Avengers #4. I haven't stopped admiring him since. The other two Marvel characters that hold a special place with me are Thor and Spiderman. I had gotten a Hasbro Spiderman (in the make Sandman set) elsewhere and was astounded with the articulation. His fingers move individually! Pretty good for a 6" piece of plastic. My old GI Joe isn't as limber. I wanted the Avengers' Captain America action figure and ordered the ToyBiz Marvel Legends Captain America Series 1 Figure. It's really okay, as far as it goes. The first thing I noted was it's weight. It's a hefty chunk of plastic and he stands up pretty well on his own, a problem I've had sometimes with the Hasbro Spiderman. The joints aren't quite as subtle as Hasbro's but Spidey's webs help disguise them anyway. Cap, with his solid colors, doesn't have that advantage. Cap's shield at 2-1/2" is in proportion to the real one which is...

For all those who just don't get it.....
To everyone interested in buying this figure, and also to certain other Amazon reviewers who obviously didn't understand what they were buying, you should take note of the reason why this figure is referred to as "ULTIMATE Captain America". This figure is not based on the Captain America character that has been appearing in comics since World War II. This is based on the "alternate reality" version of Cap that appears in the Marvel Comics series THE ULTIMATES and THE ULTIMATES 2, part of the "Ultimate" line of Marvel Comics that re-envisions classic Marvel characters as debuting in modern times and more realistic situations. The "Ultimate" version of Cap is more violent, more soldier-like, and less of a "pretty boy", goody-goody type than the classic Captain America. If you're buying this figure expecting it to be the idealistic, smiling, "truth, justice, and the American way" Cap that appears in the "regular" Marvel Comics line, you will be disappointed. This is...
good toy. 6.5 to 7 inches tall
well as i read all the reviews here while shopping for this toy I couldn't find a review that stated how tall the toy is. The toy is 6 and a half to 7 inches tall. I dont have the toy with me anymore as i gave it away as a gift so i can't give the exact height of the toy. anyway the toy is very detailed and it looks very nice and kool. its good for collection or for a kid to play with it.
Ultimates Captain A.
Well my and the kid read the ultimates book where this toy of Captain A comes from. We got it because it looked so cool. But it broke at the waist pretty fast and we had to glue him back. and then the nose paint chipped off. otherwise it is a fun toy.

Marvel Celebrates Soap Legend With Free 'Guiding Light' Comic ...

Posted by admin Feb 07, 2012

To observe this precedent-setting ending, Marvel is contribution a self-governed digital model of their 2006 "Guiding Be unearthed" funny . (Written by Jim McCann, with art by Udon.) This 8-episode shreds instance ran as a back-up in Marvel books, confounding readers with its mish-mash of Marvel heroes and citizens from "Guiding Well-lighted"'s Springfield. (Not to be flummoxed with the much funnier "Simpsons" burg.) The fabliau finds Wolverine, Spidey, and the Avengers coming to Springfield when "Guiding" regular Harley Davidson Cooper hastily gets powers and precisely becomes the "The Guiding Happy." The hilarious was annoyed-promoted with an occurrence called "She's a Marvel," where Harley wears a skimpy kit and has eldritch eye powers . (Frankly, we hold responsible "Passions," with all its dwarfs and witchcraft, for this piffle.) The Craziest Clothes Changes in Comics

The production of Iron Man from his unwieldy ingenious clothes to the around look happened over the performance of several redesigns, including a gold construct of the initial, the "Burnished Centurion" armor of the '80s, and Football Pants.

TWO superheroes clash this summer to see who will be crowned king of the blockbusters.

First out is Thor. Aussie hunk Chris Hemsworth stars as the Norse hammer-man alongside Sir Anthony Hopkins as his all-powerful dad, Odin.

Later in the summer Chris Evans - who was The Human Torch in the Fantastic Four - gets patriotic during World War II and faces up to nasty Nazis in Captain America: The First Avenger.

But whichever hero emerges victorious at the box office, the real winners will be the Marvel bosses who will be smiling all the way to the bank.

Especially as they are planning for Captain America and Thor to be part of a long-running and lucrative film franchise.

TLJ Review: Marvel Legends Ultimate Captain America

ultimate captain america, hes ultimate sorry, i was tired and i just woke up, so mind the silence haha.

Captain America Marvel Legends Sereis 1 action figure worth getting?? Since CA is now DEAD what is the worth?

afawefaw11 asks: I am thinking about purchasing a Captain America Marvel Legends Series 1 action figure New in Box and it comes with a comic book inside. Since they killed him off the shelves and he is now dead is it worth getting as an investment? Is it worth anything

Jon Glade answers: Any collectable is only worth what you can get a collector to pay you for it, no matter what the "book guide" on any item might be. The fact that Steve Rogers is apparently dead isn't going to last long; he will appear in a Captain America movie

You would have to look on-line.

It probably won't be worth THAT much even though he's been killed off because with comic books they ALWAYS bring back dead characters.

Example: Superman, Psylocke, Supergirl, Terra, Phoenix,

Which marvel legends figure to get?

Bryan Navarijo asks: I was thinking about picking up either wolverine in his brown costume or ultimate captain america. Which one do you think i should pick up?

cool_big_sam answers: Based on popularity and personal choice I would go for Wolverine anytime over Captain America.
