THE TOY THAT NEVER COMES.
THIS IS A TOY THAT IF YOU WANT IT, THAT IS ALL YOU WILL EVER DO IF YOU ORDER IT FROM THIS DEALER!!

HE WILL NOT DELIVER AND DOES NOT ANSWER EMAILS FOR OTHER PRODUCT HE SOLD TO ME, SO I AM SURE HE WILL DO SAME WITH THIS PRODUCT!! HAVE FUN...GOOD LUCK!!
Toy-Biz vs Hasbro Action Figures
Captain America and I go back a ways. I first saw him in the immortal Avengers #4. I haven't stopped admiring him since. The other two Marvel characters that hold a special place with me are Thor and Spiderman.
I had gotten a Hasbro Spiderman (in the make Sandman set) elsewhere and was astounded with the articulation. His fingers move individually! Pretty good for a 6" piece of plastic. My old GI Joe isn't as limber.

I wanted the Avengers' Captain America action figure and ordered the ToyBiz Marvel Legends Captain America Series 1 Figure. It's really okay, as far as it goes. The first thing I noted was it's weight. It's a hefty chunk of plastic and he stands up pretty well on his own, a problem I've had sometimes with the Hasbro Spiderman. The joints aren't quite as subtle as Hasbro's but Spidey's webs help disguise them anyway. Cap, with his solid colors, doesn't have that advantage. Cap's shield at 2-1/2" is in proportion to the real one which is 2-1/2'. He does seem to be a bit too muscle bound for my tastes, but he's still a hunk. His chain mail doesn't seem to have been represented, but that comes and goes with various artists. That isn't any big deal. The differences in articulation between Spidey and Cap are minor. Cap can make a fist but can't move individual fingers, and his leg rotates at the thigh, not at the calf as Spidey's does. The toes even flex, which at their extreme does look a little freaky.
His face? I keep getting reminded of Hawkeye's remarks in 'To Serve and Protect' (a great comment on popularity). "You're just steamed ... 'cause the jaw's not square enough." He doesn't have much expression which doesn't seem to be like Captain America at all.
As a toy, I'd think any kid interested in heroes would be pleased with it. Fun? I could see the lively imagination such an action hero could generate. I had lots of fun with mine, years ago, my GI Joe in a home sewn Captain America uniform. I'm a bit old for that sort of thing now. Too much life has got in the way. Educational? I don't know. The comic book would be about WWII and patriotism and bravery. The kids better learn that stuff from someone. Cap's the one to teach them. The weight of the figure and the construction makes me think he'll be durable enough. As I implied, he's a shrunk down version of the original GI Joe and they were durable indeed.
Overall, I'm pleased with it. It doesn't quite capture the essence of Captain America, like the more expensive likenesses do, but that's something only an adult would notice. Maybe other adults have the money to spend on the other stuff. I don't so this is figure is just fine with me.

Best Cap figure out there!
For those of you that like the original Cap like I do (bucky as cap is an insulting money grab), and want a figure that is worthy of the title Captain America, then this is the set for you! When the product description says that the figures are very posable, it means it! Cap vs the Red Skull is is a classic marvel duel, and the ability of these figures to be placed in almost any position you can come up with doesnt sell it short.

My only complaint is that I wish the Red Skull figure was in a Nazi Uniform, but thats just my personal prefferance. Get this set!
Great toy set
Its a great toy , it came with all the cool things that a toy should come with for a litte kid . Plus it has the Cap in it with his greatist foe , so overall a great toy set !!!

good toy. 6.5 to 7 inches tall
well as i read all the reviews here while shopping for this toy I couldn't find a review that stated how tall the toy is. The toy is 6 and a half to 7 inches tall. I dont have the toy with me anymore as i gave it away as a gift so i can't give the exact height of the toy. anyway the toy is very detailed and it looks very nice and kool. its good for collection or for a kid to play with it.
Ultimates Captain A.
Well my and the kid read the ultimates book where this toy of Captain A comes from. We got it because it looked so cool. But it broke at the waist pretty fast and we had to glue him back. and then the nose paint chipped off. otherwise it is a fun toy.
Dzzl Capt. with sweet tooth face!! What the...
The sculpture is well done...paint is a little dull...but it looks like the physique of Cap from the comics, I must say. But, Cap is puckering up like he's at a rainbow parade....come on! MacFarland needs to be contacted on Marvel Select sculpturing...ASAP!
The Ultimate Captain
This Captain America Figure sits on my desk at work and catches the eye of everyone that pays me a visit, I am thrilled with it. The packaging and the detail were everything the seller said that it would be. I look forward to future purchases and am glad to have Amazon here to guide me along in my hunt and purchase of great items such as "Captain America" series 8 Ultimate. I am definitely pleased with this item.
GO GATORS!!!
For all those who just don't get it.....
To everyone interested in buying this figure, and also to certain other Amazon reviewers who obviously didn't understand what they were buying, you should take note of the reason why this figure is referred to as "ULTIMATE Captain America".

This figure is not based on the Captain America character that has been appearing in comics since World War II. This is based on the "alternate reality" version of Cap that appears in the Marvel Comics series THE ULTIMATES and THE ULTIMATES 2, part of the "Ultimate" line of Marvel Comics that re-envisions classic Marvel characters as debuting in modern times and more realistic situations. The "Ultimate" version of Cap is more violent, more soldier-like, and less of a "pretty boy", goody-goody type than the classic Captain America. If you're buying this figure expecting it to be the idealistic, smiling, "truth, justice, and the American way" Cap that appears in the "regular" Marvel Comics line, you will be disappointed. This is Captain America from the "Ultimate" line--thus, the figure's name of "Ultimate Captain America".

As for the figure itself, it is no better or worse than most Marvel Legends figures of late. The amount of articulation is impressive as always, but often some joints ruin the look of a beautifully sculpted figure, and no matter how articulated a figure is, it is often difficult and even sometimes damaging to the figure to get it into a pose that is accurate to the character portrayed. Die-hard Marvel fans who can look past the flaws will enjoy it, but don't plan on buying this as a toy to give to a child--the downsides of the figure will ultimately frustrate the average kid. Annoyingly for those of use who would like to introduce the younger generation to Marvel characters, the Marvel Legends line has become far more of a collector's display line than a series of fun toys.

To observe this precedent-setting ending, Marvel is contribution a self-governed digital model of their 2006 "Guiding Be unearthed" funny . (Written by Jim McCann, with art by Udon.) This 8-episode shreds instance ran as a back-up in Marvel books, confounding readers with its mish-mash of Marvel heroes and citizens from "Guiding Well-lighted"'s Springfield. The fabliau finds Wolverine, Spidey, and the Avengers coming to Springfield when "Guiding" regular Harley Davidson Cooper hastily gets powers and precisely becomes the "The Guiding Happy." TLJ Review: Marvel Legends Ultimate Captain America

ultimate captain america, hes ultimate sorry, i was tired and i just woke up, so mind the silence haha.

Captain America Marvel Legends Sereis 1 action figure worth getting?? Since CA is now DEAD what is the worth?

afawefaw11 asks: I am thinking about purchasing a Captain America Marvel Legends Series 1 action figure New in Box and it comes with a comic book inside. Since they killed him off the shelves and he is now dead is it worth getting as an investment? Is it worth anything now? Where do I find info on stuff like this and how much it is worth?

Jon Glade answers: Any collectable is only worth what you can get a collector to pay you for it, no matter what the "book guide" on any item might be. The fact that Steve Rogers is apparently dead isn't going to last long; he will appear in a Captain America movie slated for 2010, so his death will be explained away before then. It might be a good move to buy the action figure now and hope there will be more people willing to buy the figure at a higher price after the movie is released. However, anytime you buy a comic book, an action figure, a piece of original art, or any other item which could have a fluctuating value, there is no assurance that the item's value will go up instead of down.
