Nathan Summers has traveled back in time to prevent a future war between man and mutant. The soldier called Cable uses his mutant abilities to fight for a better tomorrow, and seeks his own fate as a man out of time! A telepathic and telekinetic mutant, Cable's physical attributes ahs been enhanced to superhuman level. Although his telekinesis allows him to levitate objects and erect protective force shields, he must turn the majority of his energies inward to prevent the techno-organic virus with which he is enfected from ravaging the remainder of his body. Cable's techno-organic left arm and shoulder possess even greater strength than his entirely organic right appendage. Similarly, his right eye enables him to see into the infrared spectrum.

Cable is cool. But Overrated.Cable is a great X-men character. This toy is way better then the ones released in the 90's.But I don't think he should of been in a Marvel Legends set this soon.However. This is by far one of my favorite Marvel Legends figures to date. It looks exactly like he should from the comics. I prefer the Yellow / Blue traditional X-men outfit over his Brown suit, But i don't understand why they gave him that hover bike. He should of came with a headset and his huge gun he has in the comics. But oh well. I can have everything I want can I?I highly recomend this figure, I think it's one of the best. and if your an X-men fan get him. He's one step closer to haveing your X-teams destroy the brotherhood. Have a nice day!.
NICE TOY, BUT IT HAS DRAWBACKS...Marvel Legends series 6 (or, what I like to call "X-Men Classics Series 2") brings us Cable-Nathan Summers. The future son of Cyclops who has come back in time to prevent a human and mutant war. Here's what I don't like about it. First, in my opinion, Cable is no "legend". Popular, maybe. Legend, no. They could have picked a way better X-Men character to produce before doing Cable--like Nightcrawler, Iceman, or Storm. Someone who is more directly involved with the X-Men and that most people are familiar with. Even another X-Men villain would have been cool. Next, he isn't in scale with the other figures in the Marvel Legends line. On the back of the package it says Cable is 6 feet 8 inches tall. The comic book that comes with the figure depicts Cable as being a very big guy. However, when standing the figure next to a Nick Fury figure, a Magneto figure, a Mr. Fantastic figure, or anyone else who's roughly 6 feet tall--Cable stands eye to eye with them. Then, there's the issue of the aforementioned comic book. It doesn't do a good job of showing you more about the character at all. ToyBiz has been doing an OK job (at best) in the past of packaging a comic book with the figure that gives you a pretty good account of who the character is, where he/she came from, what his /her powers are, what their powers are capable of doing, showing the character in action, and so on. This comic book doesn't do that. If anyone bought this figure and didn't already know anything about Cable, the comic book would not help them know the character any better. In fact, they might have more questions than answers. Finally, there is the articulation. This figure has that "middle-of-the-thigh" joint that I hate. Plus, the joint connecting the upper and lower torso is that old style of joint that the Marvel Legends Human Torch, Thing, and Captain America have. The superposeable Green Goblin from the first Spiderman movie has it, too. The problem is that since there's a joint that connects the lower torso with the waist of the figure, you can turn the figure's stomach muscles around 360 degrees. I hate that because these are the joints that get loose the quickest and the parts always move around when you don't want them to. Nobody can twist 360 degrees at their waist in real life anyway. So why do it? I thought ToyBiz worked past this, but I guess not. The good thing about this figure is that he does look good. All other articulation is great. And, his comes with a really cool wall mountable display stand that doesn't have to hang on the wall if you don't want it to. It's a hover bike that can also double as a weapon you mount on Cable's shoulder. Preferably, his left shoulder. If you want him to hang on the wall, you attach the bottom of the craft to the same space rock/asteroid that came with the Marvel Legends Silver Surfer figure. Put Cable in the seat and hang him. It looks really nice. I recommend this figure for any Cable fan and X-Men fan. If you don't know who Cable is, pass this one by.
