Wolverine, as seen in the pages of X-Force.
It must be said that the sculpt of this figure is leagues above the masked Wolverine figures from the 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' line. This is probably the best Wolverine in stores now. Maybe it's just me, but I love these smaller action figures. They have good detail, good quality, and have tons of potential if you consider the fact that they are the same size as the 4-inch G.I. Joes. That means these Marvel Universe figures can be used with almost any playset or vehicle from the G.I. Joe or Star Wars series. This Wolverine comes with his red Muramasa sword and an assault rifle. The sword is great for displaying him with, but the assault rifle doesn't seem to fit well in his hands. But fear not! You could simply give it to the 'Marvel Universe' Punisher or the 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' Deadpool Comic figure to expand their arsenal of weapons. This seems durable enough for a kid to play with, yet stands well enough on its own if you simply...
wolverine x-force costume review marvel universe
it's good but the one i got isn't real stiff in the arms so his arms are really loose but it's good i really like these universe figures hasbro does the best job on their figures!
Awesome!
I totally love this costume! My childhood favorite was the tan & brown version and I never really liked the yellow & blue. I stopped reading comics a few years ago - Marvel kinda lost their touch when all their bad-ass characters started coming out of the closet. But I saw that Wolvie had become a part of X-Force and he had this costume, I thought it made him more ninja-like and looks slick as the devil himself. I got thrilled when I saw this and I bought one. It comes with a red samurai sword and a black rifle. If you plan to get this, make sure though that you pick the one with his claws unbent (I saw a lot of these due to poor packaging and it could be a little disappointing) anyway, this is really a great buy and it should get along with a red Deadpool figure from the X-Men Origins: Wolverine toyline.

Best mutant book out there!
Although there is quite a lot of good stuff going on with the X-Men/mutant books right now, X-Force is without a doubt the best of the best of the current X-books. X-Force is basically the X-Men's black-ops hit squad, operating in secret from the other X-Men to take out the greatest threats to mutant-kind by any means necessary. The storyline is downright addictive, and the artwork (computer-generated) is truly sublime. Virtually every anti-mutant hatemonger from the past, present and future has united in a grand scheme to exterminate the few remaining mutants on earth. This conspiracy seeks to add a lethal biological weapon to their already impressive arsenal of social and political influence, money and lethal technology to further their mission of genocide. As if this wasn't a big enough threat for X-Force to tackle, the team is wracked with internal problems as well as now having to shift their attention from the anti-mutant conspiracy to threats brought about from...
"Even Cable smiled more than these guys."
Somewhere Charles Xavier is spinning around in his grave. Or to be more accurate, since the old prof is still breathin', he's spinning in his wheelchair. Or he would if he ever catches a whiff of what Cyclops has been up to, what with Scott Summers effing around with Xavier's big shiny dream of racial harmony between man and mutant. Things haven't gotten any rosier for mutants in the 616. There are threats to mutants out there that colorful superheroics simply won't fix, and so Cyclops adapts by re-establishing X-Force, and this is a meaner, deadlier incarnation. Tapping Wolverine as field commander, X-Force is Cyclops' black ops kill team, sent out to do the dirty work that the X-Men could never do. In fact, part of the mission statement is that the X-Men could never know about X-Force, not even Summers' telepathic girlfriend Emma Frost. What does it say about me that I vastly prefer this darker and more savage bunch of mutants over the other X-Men teams? X-Force...
Sweet volume
x-force is my personal favorite new series. love every character on the team, love seeing cyclops and wolverine butt heads constantly over following duty vs following honor. Loved the artwork by clayton crain in the earlier vol, for this one they brought on the team of choi and oback which i've been a fan of since target X23. Really slick panels with great details. Love watching the angel's fight with turning into the archangel and wanting to kill everyone (to see who's "strong" or "weak"). great vol highly recommend reading it.

ATTACKERMAN » And What He Does Is Suggest To Psychotic Commanding ...

This i09 function about the depressingly non-stop lameness of the 90s-era X-Men is wonderful and behind. But it goes off the rails here. (You have to click through to Jim Lee’s passionately-dated-yet-somehow-prototype “X-Men Combine Cocktail” outline, in which Wolverine is wearing daringly elfin denim cutoffs like he was Kriston Capps.)

In 1991, we knew Wolverine was a bad-ass because he wore Levi’s cut-offs. Convinced, he looks entirely cock-eyed to newfangled readers, but recognize Axl Rose was unironically wearing spandex bike shorts in the 90s.

In 2010, Wolverine is still wearing denim cut-offs, albeit metaphorically. He’s demonstrably Astonished at’s Respected Poobah of badassitude, but since then he’s become the enterprise. Others mutants have since filled his hollow. Cyclops is extra added attraction people in  about Wolverine, not a departure. X-Current has been rebooted as the JSOC of the X-Men. There are unpleasant jobs that the X-Men have to take on. But they have need of sensible deniability — mutants are an near extinction species now, as weak as they’ve ever been since the early days of Xavier. Sometimes, for example, there are extremist anti-mutant militias allied with half-Watch Cyborgs. They necessary to be killed. That’s where X-Break comes in.

Renaldo is up first with a list of questions on a variety of topics covering everything from character motivations to pop stars. I sure hope you're ready for this!

1) With Agent Kiel hot on Daken's trail, why did you pick Moon Knight, of all people, to go after Daken? Wouldn't Wolverine have made more sense?

Well, one definite thing I wanted to do when taking over Daken was get him away from Wolverine for a while. I thought he needed to define himself a bit away from his father's shadow, so I didn't want to bring Logan into this.

As for Moon Knight, well, Brian Bendis had set Moon Knight up in L.A., so it was pretty natural that they would run into each other at some point. I think it's cool that there's this little L.A. Marvel community building up at the moment -- Daken, Moon Knight, Echo and the Runaways. I think Christos Gage's Avengers Academy is there too. It's fun to offer a slightly different take on the Marvel's America, outside of Manhattan, which is the hero mothership, of course.

Aquamarine Blue Beauty asks: Where do these series fit into the general timeline? Like in comparison to Uncanny X-Men? Should certain issues be read along with certain issues in Uncanny?

Also, where does the House of M storyline fit in?

Eli answers: Most of the X-Men titles are all occurring simultaneously, and for the most part each focuses on a small group of characters with occasional cameos from characters from other titles. Wolverine: First Class is, I believe, a flashback series which takes
