too translucent
These appliques do not have a solid white background, but a translucent, almost clear background, so the wall color shows through the picture. It's worst on the whites in the picture, which only appear white on the removable backing because the backing is white, but it also affects the lighter colors. These look okay on a light colored wall, but I'd avoid placing these on dark walls. (Note that the giant appliques do have a solid white background and look much better.) They did maintain their peel-and-stick properties during several moves, are easy to handle, and are made with a good quality (not flimsy) vinyl-like material.
Cool Peel & stick superheroes
Generous amount of P&S superheroes, you will love the price, you can't beat it!! The vibrant colors lit up my 4 year old's room, and the best part for parents, there is NO MESS!! You just peel them and stick them where you want, and if thespot is not right, then you can remove them as much as you want!! Phenomenal item for toddler/pre-schoolers who love the whole superhero thing!!
Great Idea but too clear
These are great, my four year old loves them. They stick and restick and are very durable, the only problem is his bedroom walls are blue and the translucent background makes the stickers hard to see. They work much better on white walls.

Fun, but incomplete
A lot of fun. Quick reading, full of great art. But there are some puzzling things... and "Things" is one of them! No "THING" here! The other three members of the Fantastic Four are here, but of all of them The Thing has participated most in the Avengers... and he's the one missing. And not to argue over "powers" like a school boy, but Hawkeye's fightng skills are listed at 7. That put's him in the Captain America, Wolverine, Shang Chi area. A better fighter than Iron Fist, Black Panther... and more. Really? But again, a fun read. Good for new and old readers.
Good for people who don't know much about Marvel or need to catch up on current Marvel events
Marvel Avengers: The Ultimate Character Guide was something I got as an early christmas gift. I thought that I wouldn't really look at it because of the fact that I'm starting to grow out of comic books, but wow was this fun. This book basically gives you an introduction to many characters of the Marvel Universe and is a pretty cool read. I recommend it to anyone who needs to catch up on the Marvel Comics Universe.
Incomplete Character Guide
I purchased this book for kicks being a Marvel comics fan and was let down by the fact that they left out some fairly popular villains. How could you forget Modok??? Seriously?Aside from that, the book is in full color and pretty cool if you are curious about the Avengers, especially with the Avengers movie coming in 2012.

"You can't live in fear"
I personally feel that the numerous superhero films that have been popping up since "X-Men" came out in 2000 are all of about the same quality. Yeah, everyone has their personal favorites (mine is "Daredevil: The Director's Cut") but, generally speaking, they're all decent cinematic versions of the comic heroes.Mark Steven Johnson's "Ghost Rider" (2007) combines Faust and Spider-Man and mixes in elements of all the variations of the Ghost Rider comics up to the present, including the 50's Western hero, but it's main inspiration is the 70s-80s comic featuring Johnny Blaze as the protagonist. What makes Ghost Rider appealing? Well, the only thing cooler than a guy in black leather and chains driving a Harley is a flaming skeleton in black leather and chains driving a supernatural flaming Harley. That pretty much explains it.THE PLOT: Johnny Blaze and his father make a living as Evel Knieval-like stunt riders in a carnival. When Johnny's dad is...
Better than expected
This movie was surprisingly good. I went into it, not expecting much after recently watching the Fantastic Four movie. Ghost Rider starts off with a young Johnny Blaze, teamed up with his father, who is sick. He makes a deal with the Devil and sells his soul to heal his father. Unfortunately, the Devil never strikes a bargain with fairness in mind and Johnny is left to wait for the Devil to call. When the Devil calls, the special effects were actually amazing. The story was a bit on the short side with an ending that left a bit to be desired. Overall, this IS a fun movie to watch and the action is consistent throughout. This one will be added to my library when it's released. Enjoy.
Pretty Decent
Comic book movies are always touch and go. They could be great (X-men, Batman, Spiderman, Hellboy, V For Vendetta), they could be awful (Hulk, Skycaptain, Judge Dredd, Ultraviolet). This one gave me what I wanted out of it and adequately told the story of the Ghost Rider, though I never really followed the comic that much, so if there are plot holes I wouldn't know about them. Basically, Nicolas Cage makes this movie. The man is a great actor and can turn S*** into gold (with the exception of the unsalvageable Wickerman). In this case the story is well-written though most of the other actors are B-rated. The girl/love interest Eva Mendes, can barely act, though has nice bouncy breasts and therefore satisfies as eye candy, but little more. Overall, a successful and enjoyable movie.

Hardcovers of all four Marvel "Art of " books
That's right! Don't pay those inflated secondary market prices for the Art of Iron-man books. Both original hardcovers for "The Art of Iron-Man" and "The Art of Iron-man 2" are included in this set! Note that the individual slip covers for the Thor and Captain America art books are not included.
The Art of Marvel Studios aka The Arrival of the Avengers
Right now, Marvel Studios is on a roll. Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America are three of the best comic book movies ever. Iron Man 2 has its problems but it is still a strong sequel in many ways. The Art of Marvel Studios gives insight into the world and production of these movies. There are reviews of the books individually so I won't go into details. What isn't mentioned in the book's description is that it includes an almost movie sized "bonus" poster of the slipcase artwork that is approximately 36" x 22". As the Art of Iron Man and the Art of Iron Man 2 are out of print and very expensive. This collection is a really good deal at the price Amazon is now offering. The books are basically must haves for fans of the films and the lead up to The Avengers.
MARVELOUS: A Great Collection of Art Books
MARVELOUS. That's what this collection of MARVELS movie art books should have been titled. It is truly GREAT. Iron Man I & II, Captain America, Thor; If you liked those movies and you enjoy movie art books then this a collection for you.
