decent, but they could do betterthis figure cannot stand upright. I had to tape it down on my desk to make it stand. other that that, he looks great. He cant move, and the only point of articulation is on his left arm, which can rotate back and forth.
I would not recommend this to a child that wants to play with it, but I would recommend it to someone that just wanted it for display purposes. Overall, I would give this figure a solid "B". There are other Spawn figures out there that are much better made for the price.
Is there anything cooler?Its a fair question. I have other Spawn figures and I thought that I was done collecting actual figures of Spawn...but I was wrong. The figure is as cool as the picture shows, but one wont really appreciate it until they actually hold the figure and admire the awesome artistry. Spawn fans beware: assembling the figure is a mission in and of itself. While the figure is durable, take care when assembling it so that you dont get hurt. The figure is sturdy enough (it fell from atop a six foot bookshelf onto a wooden floor and there was not a scratch to be noticed nor did anything break) so you dont have to worry about it breaking. And you once you assemble (and by assembly I mean attach the wings and then attach the figure to base, thats it) you will have to play around with balancing the Spawn on that base so that it doesn't fall forward or backward. Once you have it fully assembled and posed, you will be grateful for having made the purchase. McFarlane has done it again. And man, am I grateful!
Beautifully unstableI absolutely love Spawn. The comic, the action figures, you name it. My only gripe about any of the products are with a few action figures. This being one of them. It is certainly beautiful when displayed, but it takes some maneuvering to get it to sit right. It has fallen over a few times from a three shelf high display, never broken but it made me sick the first time it took a spill. It is most certainly worth the price to a true spawnaholic and is certainly a cheaper alternative to the series 21 original.
This figure is awesome, But 1 problemThis figure is 1 of Todd Mcfarlane's finest creation the design, the look is great the only problem is his base. It can't hold him he's too heavy for his base. the figure can't stand up.
