Dark Horse continues its series of vintage-style statuettes featuring the best characters from comic books. The sculpting and packaging design is inspired by the original "Hunter Rose" version of one of the modern era's most interesting heroes, Matt Wagner's Grendel. Produced in a limited edition of only 550 hand-numbered copies, making this a significant component in our celebration of Grendel's 25th anniversary. Sculpting by Yoe! Studio from original designs by Wagner.
Each hand-numbered statuette comes packaged in a custom-tooled, full-color, litho-printed tin box. Also included is a small booklet about each character and a vintage-style pinback button of the character.

Grendel Sees all...So if you are a fan of one of the greatest and most interesting characters to ever grace the page of a comic book, Grendel, the Devil Himself, then this is a must-have for your collection.
This is Hunter Rose Grendel, not Grendel Prime, even though that would be pretty cool if they offered that as well.
He stands majestically, holding his trademark double spear to watch over your Grendel collection with all of the grace and intimidation that he has always offered.
This is not really a toy, just really a beautifully made statue. It is a bit pricey though, and most than most people would be willing to pay and that is understandable. If you are into Grendel though, it is worth it. If you are just a lukewarm fan, you can probably pass on this item.
Wagner's famous creation, Grendel, shares this characteristic - we can believe that Hunter Rose and Batman can engage in the aerial gymnastics that they do
