Comic Statues & Busts: Bowen Metallic Captain America from Bowen Designs

I purchased this sculpture recently and I disliked it immensely because several things were changed for the worse that not only affected the quality but were also done without informing the customer. The well crafted and detailed wings on the head were replaced with an unimaginative dull variation. The bright, shiny, candy blue coloring that can be seen in the images has been replaced with a standard, dull blue finish instead that just looks lifeless. The face was re-sculpted and lastly the beautiful base shown in the picture with it's brightly golden Presidential Seal has been replaced with a lackluster base with a seal that is nearly as black as the rest of the base and almost unnoticeable. The pictures shown by Bowen Designs here and elsewhere are misleading. They are actually those of the prototype sculpture. The one that Bowen Designs ships to people like you or I has several drastic changes that take away from the uniqueness of the piece.
